We hold regular monthly meetings on the second Tuesday of the month. To save you from looking at a calendar, that means that the next meeting will be held January 9. As usual, it will be at the Perkins Restaurant on 72nd and Grover streets (3529 S 72nd St). The meeting begins at 7:00(ish), but come early and have a cup of coffee, a coke or even dinner with us! (They have great pie!)
The club business will start when most people have finished eating, or 7PM, hard to tell which. We will start 2012 with the usual suspects as officers, see the December News Letter for details. I would like to personally thank "Ed" for the always entertaining news she provides us each month.
We all pitch in and do what is needed to keep the range in shape every month. Work parties are planned to be held the morning of the monthly shoots to increase participation and reduce the hassle that coming down twice in a month can be. If you can come, the help, or for that matter just your presence, would be greatly appreciated - fair warning, you will likely be given a call! You can of course call or send an e-mail to Sean or Cal so they know you're coming.
Winter is pretty much fully upon us, so there is less work to be done, and less weather to do it in! We still have a bridge to finish, though that project is nearing completion. Your help is still needed. Firewood supply always seems needing adding to, especially with the new firewood holders to stock! Some tree trimming might need to be done (if for no other reason than to keep them from eating Cal's truck again), and the sticks fall on the range and camp area every month, like it or not. Stayed tuned for further details, or log on the the EPM forums to get the latest info.
The next shoot will held January 22, the 2012 schedule is available here. We always have fun at the monthly shoot, good company, good natured ribbing about the shots taken. We always throw in some novelty type shooting, not just paper targets
.We would like to thank the other area clubs for agreeing to coordinate weekend area events so we all have a chance to attend each others shoots. We would also like to once again thank all the volunteers for their continuous efforts to keep the range in good shape.
