pillow ticking

Postby badger » Mon Mar 01, 2010 8:31 am

Anyone know where I might find some .010 bulk pillow ticking for my rifle. I could use .015 but it gets alittle tight.
Thanks Badger

Remember you want 100% cotton!.............. Not the cotton blend ticking!

Thanks for the advice, Went to WalMart, works great. I went to the fabric section and said I had a strange requist, I needed 100% cotton pillow ticking, she said "what for, your muzzleloader"? It turns out she shoots blkpowder,small world!

Wal Mart's a heck of a lot better on your wallet than the fabric stores too...

TRUE!...But he was asking about WHERE and not about PRICE!
Wally World doesn't always have the thickness you need, so there's always the choice of finding it at another store! Here in Omaha, you readily can find Ticking at Mangelson's, Handcock Fabric's and Jo Ann Fabric all in the 84th & Center Streets area.

Thanks again on more advise. I brought along a very accurate caliber into walmart. The pillow tick was .018,muslin was both .015 and .010. People were looking at me strangely but I am used to that. I took a 1/2 yd of each to see how I like them before buying a bunch.{they were all 100% cotton}
You guys always seem to hop right in and help others, thanks again.

Since the meat shoot was backed up to March, can a nonmember still camp and shoot at this one?
